Abstract

This research was conducted to determine: (1) Increasing the Learning Motivation of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 173217 Rambasiala for the 2019/2020 school year and (2) Increasing the Learning Outcomes of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 173217 Rambasiala for the 2019/2020 school year through the application of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model. on Citizenship Education lessons. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out for at least 2 cycles. The subjects in this study were 23 fourth grade students of SD Negeri 173217 Rambasiala. Data collection techniques with participant observation and questionnaires for student learning motivation, while student learning outcomes with learning outcomes tests. Technical analysis of the data is quantitative data analysis, which includes the percentage of student learning motivation scores and the average test scores of student learning outcomes. The results of this study are that the application of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve Student Learning Motivation and Student Learning Outcomes in grade IV SD Negeri 173217 Rambasiala for the 2019/2020 academic year as evidenced by an increase in Student Learning Motivation scores and the average value of student learning outcomes. The increase in students' learning motivation with observations from Pre-cycle – Cycle I was 6.75% and from Cycle I to Cycle II was 9.68%. The increase in student learning motivation from Cycle I to Cycle II based on the questionnaire was 4.85%. In Cycle I, student learning outcomes have not reached the minimum criteria for completeness of 75%, which is 16.67%. In Cycle II, student learning outcomes have reached the minimum criteria for completeness of 75%, which is 93.33%.
