Abstract

This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in Civics, especially on the subject of Pancasila values ​​in Government Administration with the Discovery Learning method. This research was conducted at SMA PGRI-20 Siborongborong. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA1 SMA PGRI-20 Siborongborong, totaling 40 people. The object of this research is the application of the Discovery Learning Model to Improve Citizenship Education Learning Achievement. Students of Class X IPA1 SMA Pgri-20 Siborongborong Kec. Siborongborong Kab. Tapanuli Utara T.A.2020/2021. This research consisted of two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Before taking action in cycle I, the researcher gave an initial test to students and at the end of cycle I and cycle II, the researcher gave a test of learning outcomes I and test of learning outcomes II. Before being given action in the first cycle, there were no students who had completed their studies or 0% in the initial test with a class average of 35.5. After being given the first action in the first cycle using the discovery learning learning model, students who have completed their studies are 18 people or 45% with an average class of 69. Thus, students who have completed their studies increase by 18 students or 45% from the initial test and increase an average of 33.5. Then after giving the second action in the second cycle, it was obtained that 34 or 85% students who had completed their studies with an average class average of 81.25. This means that students who have completed their studies have increased by 16 students or 4% from cycle II and an average increase of 12. The results of student observations are categorized in the good category where the results of observing student activities get an average value of 3.57. From the observations it can be seen that the implementation of learning runs smoothly. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that learning with the discovery learning model on the material of Pancasila values ​​in this implementation can be used as an alternative learning to improve student learning outcomes.
