Abstract

The background of this research is that the application of the Talking Stick method can increase students' learning motivation on material in the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The aim of this research is to increase students' learning motivation on material on the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia using the talking stick method in class X-Mipa1 SMA PGRI 20 Siborongborong. The population of this research is all class X-Mipa1 students at SMA PGRI 20 Siborong and the sample for this research is class X-Mipa1 Siborongborong, totaling 42 respondents. This research uses the talking stick method with a classroom action research (PTK) model where the research procedure is carried out in 2 cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation and reflection stages. Meanwhile, data collection was carried out using observation and questionnaires to determine the increase in students' learning motivation using the talking stick method. In the application of the talking stick method in increasing the learning motivation of students in class education increases. Where the Only is accepted and the Ho is rejected.
